It's the Birthday Boy!!

Tim turned the big 24 on Tuesday the 22nd of July. He was so so excited the whole entire day! The only class he had was volleyball which we loves so he got to enjoy the whole day. Him and his friends went and played some raquetball after Tim's class. When Tim got home Shelley was gonna take him out to Tucano's for dinner. However, Tim realized the upstairs Keetons were leaving Josh with Hadley while they went golfing. Tim, who is crazy about Hadley of course jumped at the chance to be able to watch her also. We went and watched Hadley and played some mario kart on the Wii. Hadley got her shots earlier that day so she wasn't feeling well. She was so cute though and would lay her head on us. Shelley grilled up some hamburgers for dinner for the 3 of us. After that Tim's friends all came over for some cake and ice cream. Everybody took turns playing the Wii while we were waiting for everyone to get there. (thanks for letting us use it Marlyse and Kenny)

Josh got Tim a certificate to the BYU bookstore, Kenny and Marlyse gave him a really nice golfing glove, His friend Aaron got him some soccer socks, Shelley's family got him a sandwedge golf club and ipod speakers plus a spongebob lunch box. Shelley gave him an ipod and accessories to go with it, some shirts, gift certificates, and a BYU blanket. He got lots of stuff from everybody! Thank you!

The next night Shelley took Tim out for a birthday date. We went to Tucano's since we had not gone the night before. After eating we watched the new Batman movie. It was really good and we thought Heath Ledger did such a good job as joker.

F.H.E.

Tim and all his friends decided to have a family home evening together up in the mountains. We had a BBQ and visited for a while. We went up Provo canyon to a park there. There are 4 of them that are really good friends so it's fun hanging out all together. After eating we went to Kevin's place and watched Top Gun. We all laughed at how it played the same songs over and over.

Timpanogos Cave

Shelley's family decided to go to timpanogos Cave for fun. Her family had not been there since they were all really little so it was fun seeing what we remembered from before. Tim had to work so unfortunately he could not go.

To get to the cave you have to walk a mile and a half up there. Our legs were pretty tired by the end. They give you a tour time and then they tell you what time you should start hiking to make sure your there in time. When we got the the top we realized we were about 30 minutes early for the tour. We all thought we'd have to sit around til it started but Shelley's parents were kinda chatting with the tour workers and mentioned how long we had to wait and volunteered us to go in early if there were any available. Right when they said that the guy told us to come right then in his tour. We were pretty excited to not have to wait. Once we got in the cave we all introduced where we were from. The tour guide ended up being the cousin of some very good friends in Shelley's parents ward so that was kind of cool.

The cave was really cool and it was fun learning about all the formations and how long it takes for them to form. It was 45 degrees in there so i got a little chilly. The guide said it stays this temperature all year round since that is the average temperature outside. On part of the tour he turned out the lights to show us how pitch dark it gets. He told us if you stay in the pitch dark like that for a few days, then just seeing any little bit of light after would make you go blind instantly. Pretty crazy!

TUBING!

Tim's friend Aaron and his brother invited us to go tubing down the Provo River. We went and got 2 inner tubes from Big O' Tires and headed up. We parked our car at the bottom and took Aarons brothers car to the top where we started. surprisingly the water was not that cold which we were really happy about. It took about an hour and a half to make it down and it was so much fun! We didn't realize how many trailer park people live along the river. As we were floating down some of them would sit along the side and spray us with their hoses. We figured this was their sort of entertainment, spraying us with water even though we were already in a river and all wet. That would be the life!

Baseball

Tim has been playing in an intramural baseball team with some of his friends. He's only made it to 2 of the games but it is really fun wathing him play. The first game Tim played in they lost to the other team. Shelley was sitting by where the opposing team was waiting when they were up to bat and whenever Tim made a great catch or something they would comment on how good and athletic he was. It made Shelley really proud of him!

The next game ended in a tie. This game Marlyse, Kenny, and Hadley were nice enough to come watch. After about 20 minutes into the game a kid on the other team slid face first into second base and got knocked out. People on the sideline heard a crack so we were worried about the kid. The ambulance had to come pick him up.

Tim is in a first aid class right now so he went out and helped until the ambulance came. (he's the one in the green shirt kneeling by the kid) Tim guessed that he had a broken nose and a concussion. The crack had been from his glasses. At the end of the game the kids team got a call from him and it was exactly what Tim thought. He was pretty proud of himself!

Time for a date!!

On Saturday We decided to go on a date. We went and picked up some Carls Jr. and had a picnic at a park. After dinner we headed over to the mini golf course. We decided not to keep score since it is so annoying having to pull out the paper after every hole. The ones behind us were a bigger group so it took them a long time to move on to the next hole. Because of this we got to redo the holes a few times each if we wanted to do better. It's so much funner when your not rushed.

Fourth of July

On the fourth of July Tim had to work in the morning until noon and then planned a football game with the boys after. While Tim was doing this Shelley went up to hang out with her family for part of the day. We got to eat waffles for breakfast and then we headed off for the famous Kaysville parade. They throw out candy to all the kids so they all go kinda crazy. Police put up their yellow "do not cross" tapes along the whole main street where the parade goes. As soon as the parade starts every single one of those tapes get ripped down and the kids run about ten feet further in the road. When we were younger the whole family would come home with a bag full of candy and we all loved the parade for that reason. Even though all those kids tried getting all the candy they could, we were able to steal a few pieces away. At the end of the parade there is a huge water fight. This part has become the best part of the parade but this year nobody wanted to get wet since we had all gotten ready. It was still cool to watch the water fight because it's all the firetrucks and even water trucks that are involved. it's crazy! When we were about to leave we saw some cops and ambulances with their lights on heading back to the front of the parade. It ended up being a ten year old kid who was riding in the parade got ran over. He was life flighted to the hospital and we were all really worried. Luckily it turned out he ended up with only a broken leg or foot(cant remember which) and a road rash. Shelley's family had a quick little lunch since she had to leave. They normally have a picnic but they were all nice enough to eat at home so it would be faster and Shelley could get back to Timothy.

Shelley got back just as Tims football game ended. Not a lot of people ended up being able to come since it was the fourth of July but it was still fun for them all to get together.

The stadium of fire had Miley Cyrus and the Blue Man Group come so of course we decided to have a party at our house so we could listen and watch the fireworks. We had a bbq with Our friends Clay and Jen and then we played around until it was time for the fireworks. During the fireworks our other friends Aaron and Brenna along with her sister and either boyfriend showed up. We were really excited because we didn't think they were gonna be able to come. We ended up having a lot of people there because of our friends and Marlyse had some family there also. It was so much fun. Afterwards we went and lit some of our own fireworks. It ended up being Just the two of us and after a little bit Joshua and some of his friends come to watch them also. We love the fourth of July!

Guns!

We got invited to go shoot some guns to kick off the fourth of July weekend. The Shilligs and the upstairs keetons were nice enough to let us tag along. We got to shoot two of Jakes guns while we were there. First we got to shoot a 45 hand gun and then a modified M4. Both of us hit the target and were really excited about it. Shelley made sure she was especially nice to Tim on this shooting activity because of the much told story of Tim and his brother William when they were younger. Tim had just got a brand new bike for Christmas that he loved. At the house there were a lot of squirrels so Tim would shoot at them to get them out of there. Well this happened to be at the same time Tim saw William ride right around the corner of the house on his brand new bike. Obviously Tim was not too happy about this so he decided that he needed to teach William a lesson. He pointed his gun right at Willim and shot. Tim got him right in the butt and William took off screaming. Not wanting to get in trouble, Tim of course tried saying it was a bee sting. Too bad Tims mother had seen this whole incident through the window or it could have been a good excuse.

Anyway, It was a lot of fun shooting and we have both bragged about the guns we shot to everyone. Thanks for inviting us Jake and Caroline!

Kenny Marlyse and Hadley are back!

Kenny and Marlyse finally came home on Monday. Kenny is in Law school so in May they and their Little girl Hadley went to Washington for an internship. While they were gone we watched thier 2 ferrets Clooney and Tonks. We have had a ton of fun playing with the ferrets while they were gone, except for Tim would never clean their cage which means Shelley was left with the poop clean up.

The 3 of them plus Marlyse's brother Travis came home on Monday night. The both of us were so excited the whole day! Tim kept texting Kenny to see how close they were. As soon as Tim got the text they had gotten off the exit we had to go outside and wait for them. Tim was so excited he couldn't sit still and had to roll around on the lawn. When Tim saw their car he took off running to the front. As they pulled up, Tim went straight for Hadley's door but then stopped and let Shelley get her out of the car seat because he knew how excited Shelley was to see Hadley. When She picked her up Hadley looked at her and then started crying. We were sad because Hadley had forgottten us and that was what we were scared of. We went inside and after not too long Hadley warmed up to us though. Hadley kept wanting to go to her daddy. I think we now know why from what he gives her to drink...

Josh came over not too long after. The boys decided to play the nintendo Wii. This is what we all did the night before Kenny and Marlyse left so of course how else could we welcome them back home except for picking up from where we left off. We are so excited they are home now and hope Hadley will remember her favorite aunt and uncle. Tim loves to tell her "Tim and Shelley are your favorite aunt and uncle" He has been telling her this ever since she was born.
