Nickelcade

After a BYU football game Tim's friends, us, and Shelley's brother Michael all went to the Nickelcade. Tim hit the jackpot on one of the games and won a ton of tickets. At the end we had a total of 400 so Tim got a blow up bat and Shelley got a blow up hammer. Now we can take our anger out on each other without getting hurt!

How fun is this!!!

For family home evening we went ice blocking. We went with the Shillig family and Marlyse and Kenny. Shelley had done this once before and this was Tims first time. It ended up being a ton of fun! All the girls raced, then all the boys raced, and of course each couple had to race also. I'm pretty sure Tim got a head start in our race.

Believe it or Not! It's been a whole year!

August 18th was our one year anniversary. This last year went by so so fast. Timothy's boss was super nice and hooked us up with a hotel in Park City. There were no single rooms left so we got stuck with the sweet!!! Our room had 2 floors and had beds enough to fit about ten people. We had a kitchen as well as our own deck which had our very own personnel hot tub!! The hotel room was awesome!

Since we stayed in Park City we of course had to go down the Alpine Slides. Tim had never done this before so it was pretty exciting.
Poor Tim picked a sled that was broken. The back wheel kept dragging the whole way down so Tim couldn't go fast. Shelley made it all the way down and turned around to see tim walking his sled down from a ways up! Not the best first time but it still was fun! Hopefully next time the sled will work.

That night we went to main street for dinner and walked around there for a while.

BYU Football!

We got all sports passes at BYU again this year. They changed up the way of selling the tickets this year and part of that was to have the same seats for every game. We are so glad for that this year!! Our seats are in the North end zone on the 7th row!! It's so much fun sitting that close! We have a group of our friends that all sit by us as well. At each game we also a bbq either before of after the game. We have all our friends and Shelleys family come and eat while we wait for the traffic to get better. Kenny, Marlyse, William, and Josh are so nice to let us still come use the lawn to do this even after we have moved. Thanks you guys!

Finally Everybodys Together!

The first of August was really crazy for us. Timothy's parents moved here to Utah, William came home from his mission, the Claytons came to visit, and we moved! We had to wait for the new house to be ready for us to move in, which was August 4th. This happened to also be the same day William got home. We went and picked him up at the airport and then came straight home and tried packing what we could and moving into the new house. We did as much as we could before needing to return the truck to the company. After that we rushed home to Williams homecoming party. As soon as that was over we hurried and grabbed as much as we could fit in our car and left for the house. It was a very very exhausting day.

While everybody was here we decided to have a space derby. We're not really sure who technically won but we know everyone would agree to say Tim and Shelley deserved first.

Spanish Fork Rodeo

On the 24th of July we got to go see a rodeo in Spanish Fork. Shelley's brother in Law does Professional Rodeo for a living so we got to watch him. Timothy had never seen Clint in a rodeo before so we're glad we got to go. He only did the calf roping for this rodeo but usually he does the team roping and bulldogging as well.

Clint is in the blue shirt putting on his hat

Provo Falls

On our way home from camping we stopped at Provo Falls. When you first get out there are the bigger falls which are very pretty. But as you walk up further there are a lot more. We kept walking up further and the waterfalls went on forever. It was so pretty. We highly recommend going there!

Last day of camping

The day we left was on a sunday so we were not able to go fishing. We took both of Shelley's families dogs. The big dogs name is Tangy and the small one is Cricket. When we started putting stuff in the car the big dog Tangy decided she didn't want to be left. She jumped in the back and we could not get her out. She sat there for about 2 hours while we packed up all of our camping gear. It was really funny!

We went camping last year before we got married. On the last day we decided to take a picture of us in the raft before we left. This year we decided we needed to do the same to keep tradition. This first one is from this year and the one below was from last year. We loved going camping but we both agreed we wouldn't want to go for longer than we did. It was the perfect length. We hope to still be able to go camping each year because it's so much fun!

Fishing

While we were up camping we got to fish. Shelley's parents have 2 rafts that we use to go out on the lake. Most of the fish were caught out on the rafts so we were glad we had them.

We both caught some fish. There was a total of 9 between the two of us. Tim hasn't fished that much before so when we went he realized how much fun it really was. Shelley would do the paddling the whole time so Tim could let out his line and not need to reel it in the whole time pretty much. We had a competition with her family to see who caught the first, the biggest, and the most fish up there. we're pretty sure we won the most!

Camping

The weekend after the 24th of july we got to go camping with shelly's family. We went up friday and stayed until sunday which made it 2 nights. We had a lot of fun sitting aroung the campfire and drinking hot cocoa.

We bought a tent from big 5 when we were still dating(but we already knew we were going to get married) We've been wanting to use it for a long time. Earlier this year we put it together for the first time. It was still a little cold outside though so we put it up in the house and had a inside campout.
This time we actually got to use it for real camping. We went and got new sleeping bags, an air mattress, as well as a fishing pole. We're proud to say we have at least some of our very own camping gear. Shelley's family stayed in tent trailer while only Shelley and Tim stayed in the tent. We're more of the hard core campers! We had so much fun up there. We went to the Uinta's and it's so pretty there. This is where Shelley's family goes every year. There are a lot of different camp spots there with lakes but we always stay at Trial Lake.

It's the Birthday Boy!!

Tim turned the big 24 on Tuesday the 22nd of July. He was so so excited the whole entire day! The only class he had was volleyball which we loves so he got to enjoy the whole day. Him and his friends went and played some raquetball after Tim's class. When Tim got home Shelley was gonna take him out to Tucano's for dinner. However, Tim realized the upstairs Keetons were leaving Josh with Hadley while they went golfing. Tim, who is crazy about Hadley of course jumped at the chance to be able to watch her also. We went and watched Hadley and played some mario kart on the Wii. Hadley got her shots earlier that day so she wasn't feeling well. She was so cute though and would lay her head on us. Shelley grilled up some hamburgers for dinner for the 3 of us. After that Tim's friends all came over for some cake and ice cream. Everybody took turns playing the Wii while we were waiting for everyone to get there. (thanks for letting us use it Marlyse and Kenny)

Josh got Tim a certificate to the BYU bookstore, Kenny and Marlyse gave him a really nice golfing glove, His friend Aaron got him some soccer socks, Shelley's family got him a sandwedge golf club and ipod speakers plus a spongebob lunch box. Shelley gave him an ipod and accessories to go with it, some shirts, gift certificates, and a BYU blanket. He got lots of stuff from everybody! Thank you!

The next night Shelley took Tim out for a birthday date. We went to Tucano's since we had not gone the night before. After eating we watched the new Batman movie. It was really good and we thought Heath Ledger did such a good job as joker.
